Reporting directly to Director of District Courts, responsible for performing specialized administrative and court support to the Director and district courts within Williamson County. Serves as Court Administrator for various courts in their absence. Level I of II in Court Operations Administrators.

  • Assist various courts with docket management, attorney assignments, fee vouchers, and public inquiries
  • Receives and tracks all daily case index forms and Magistrate list forms from all courts and schedules hearings as necessary
  • Coordinates and mails notices to defendants associated to court updates and rulings
  • Performs data entry and maintains contact information for defendants, attorneys, and other legal parties
  • Assists with processing attorney invoices, legal fees and various budget, and financial reports
  • Collaborates with attorneys on processing various legal documents including performing quality control to ensure documents are accurate
  • Enters, scans and processes attorney vouchers, updates voucher amounts and tracks attorney invoices and information
  • Serves as primary resource department director for all administrative needs 
  • Reviews, collects, transcribes, and processes legal paperwork and prepares documents for electronic use
  • Manages and coordinates the dockets for assigned specialty court program
  • Reports monthly, quarterly, and yearly statistical and legal data using software utilized by the State of Texas
  • Coordinates and collaborates with Court Administrators on various court issues
  • Ensures comprehensive filing systems are maintained and up to date
  • Attends all meetings and trainings, as required
  • Performs special duties as assigned

  • Position involves prolonged sitting at a workstation, visual examination of documents, reaching, walking, twisting, bending, standing and occasional lifting/carrying
  • Position involves safely operating a motor vehicle


  • Work is primarily indoors in an air-conditioned environment
  • Regular travel between work sites as required


  • Work outside of the normal office hours (Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) may be required
  • May be deemed essential personnel in the event of an emergency

  • Associate degree in Business, Government, Public Administration, or related field and two (2) years of court or office management experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two (2) years of administrative or general business experience in a court, judicial or legal office, or directly related environment
  • Knowledge of court and legal proceedings
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite


Required within thirty (30) days of employment

  • Valid Texas driver’s license


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
