Overview

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting a Driver for the Medical Mobile Clinic, who will safely drive the vehicle to the various daily clinic sites as well as occasional evening and weekend Health Fairs or other community events. Candidates selected for these positions must be available to work ten (10) hour shifts, four (4) days per work week (Monday through Thursday). 

Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to: Maintaining the vehicle in a safe and functional manner, including routine maintenance and performing the set-up and take-down activities of the vehicle facility at the beginning and end of each location visit; Providing excellent customer service and greeting patients; Participating in registration, insurance verification, and eligibility preparation and processing of patient records; Scheduling and confirming appointments, helping prepare billing documents, and assisting with referral processing and other patient documents.

 CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Pre-Employment Process: A background investigation including fingerprint check and driving record check will be conducted at time of appointment. 

License/Registration: Incumbents must possess and maintain a valid California Class B license with airbrake and passenger endorsement; must also have a clean driving record, with no minor traffic incidents within the past three (3) years and no major traffic offenses within the past ten (10) years. Candidates who are referred for a selection interview will be required to bring an original, recent copy of their driving record to the interview, which can be obtained at any DMV location for a small fee. 

Shift Availability: Candidates selected for these positions must be available to work ten (10) hour shifts, four (4) days per work week (Monday through Thursday).
Minimum Requirements

Experience: One (1) year  of customer service  and (full-time equivalent) work experience as a California licensed driver of a Class B vehicle with airbrake endorsement.   

-AND-

License: A valid California Class A OR Class B Driver's License with Airbrake and Passenger Endorsements and a clean driving record is required at time of application.

Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess three (3) years of experience driving a dual axle vehicle equipped with air brakes (Class B), and will have excellent customer service skills working with a variety of people.  In addition, English/Spanish bilingual skills are also highly desired, along with office skills that include the ability to utilize a computer to input data, answer phones, and file.
