Are you an electrician with a passion for technology? We are looking for an Area Mechanic-Electrician Video at the Walt Disney World Resort! In this role, we are responsible for providing support to the resort's video and telecom infrastructure. We are a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about bring the best possible experience to our guests!



The pay rate for this role in Florida is $27.35 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Bending electrical conduit and installing various types of electrical raceways
  • Installing all power cabling and corresponding connections at each end
  • Responding to trouble tickets at resorts, parks, or other areas for add/move/changes to power needs
  • Assisting in supporting and maintaining the video infrastructure throughout the property
  • Installing and terminating coax and Cat6a cabling and corresponding connections at each end
  • Fixing, installing, and programming all cameras and intercom units
  • Installing and mount all TVs and network infrastructure for respective hardware
  • Installing, and formatting digital signage players

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in the electrical field of four (4) years
  • Knowledge of video technology and installation hardware
  • Cat6 termination, RG6 termination, and cabling background
  • Experience with 3-phase power distribution up to 480V
  • Read blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to perform fault isolation and repair failed systems
  • Experience with conduit and electrical raceways
  • Written and verbal skills
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office software programs and mobile electronic devices
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Receptive to handling cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Use of personal protective equipment, such as face shields, goggles, and refillable hand sanitizers may be needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Journeyman license
  • Master Electrician license
  • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code
  • Experience with enterprise video support, cable TV support, sustainment, and the implementation of the network and required equipment
  • Knowledge of TV hardware installation, mounting, and dressing of cabling
  • Understanding of Internet Protocol camera installation, coax dB level knowledge, RF signal distribution knowledge, low voltage experience, cable locate tools, trenching, and outside plant experience
