 Web Security Success Specialist 
The position is designated Statutory Exempt and is exempt from the State Human Resources Act.
The Web Security Success Specialist is responsible for promoting and maintaining the implementation of a key IT service offering from the Department of Information Technology. The service provides Web Application Firewall services via a SaaS solution implemented at the DNS layer. Duties include, but are not limited, to:

  • Ensuring this service is effectively and widely leveraged
  • With support from vendor and DIT technology experts, the role will coordinate the implementation and support for new and existing customers
  • Spread awareness and adoption of the service through marketing and outreach

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Applicants must meet both the Education Requirements and ALL Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) listed below in order to qualify. Qualified applicants must submit an application that CLEARLY REFLECTS work experience that demonstrates the following:

  • Experience in managing relationships with consumers of SaaS (software as a service) tools  
  • Demonstrated basic familiarity with aspects of web development, DNS, CDN, or WAF technologies
  • Experience in schedule coordination to plan online meetings and training events 
  • Proficiency in analytic skills, problem identification and problem resolution skills that effectively resolve open issues and close gaps in service and support
The following Management Preferences are not required, but applicants that possess these skills are preferred:

  •  Interest in Web Development and Cloud Application
  •  Knowledge and experience in cybersecurity best practices
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution
Associate degree in Computer Science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in business application consulting or development
High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of experience in business application consulting or development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
