Overview

This position provides vocational skills training to persons with disabilities to prepare them for competitive employment. This floater position functions as a trainer in all potential work areas. Experience using woodworking machines, knowledge of assembly work, familiarity of customers service and retail, and experience with housekeeping/cleaning is beneficial. The position will teach appropriate work behaviors including productivity and safety awareness in a real work situation.

Job responsibilities include the following:

  • Responsible for work floor set up and teaching of curriculum 
  • Determine and monitor work flow and quality assurance 
  • Provide trainee orientation and supervision 
  • Assess behavior/work skills and ability and implement behavior change strategies to adjust Work performance and improve productivity 
  • Evaluate readiness for employment via behavioral observation and productivity measures Transport trainees in state vehicles to job sites and work training in community settings 
  • Provide supervision to trainees in the work setting

Bachelor s degree in a human services or business field such as human resources, marketing, business administration, business management, healthcare management, or public administration from an appropriately accredited institution
OR 
Associate s degree in a human services or business field (identified above) from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of directly related work experience
PR
High school or General Educational Development (GED) and four years of directly related work experience
OR
an equivalent combination of education and experience
