Regional Sales Manager (Commercial Term Lending, Multifamily – Central Region) – Commercial Bank

Commercial Term Lending (CTL) provides term financing, both on-balance sheet and Agency execution (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac), to owners and investors of apartment buildings with five or more units. Commercial Term Lending is the nation’s #1 multifamily lender.

Under the direction of the Commercial Term Lending Area Manager, the Commercial Term Lending Regional Sales Manager is directly responsible for building an effective team of Client Sales Managers and staff, and assisting these teams of originators in managing and/or cultivating new and existing relationships with multifamily property owners. We look directly to the Regional Sales Manager to build, manage, and expand JPMC presence in their market. In this role, the day to day responsibilities revolve around the Client Managers, customers, management companies, industry peers, business groups and internal partners.

 The Regional Sales Manager position can office out of Chicago, IL or Minneapolis, MN, exceptions will be considered for the right candidate.  Expectation is full-time in-office.

Job responsibilities

  • Provide active management, recruitment, and talent development of a high volume business development team
  • Provide coaching and encouragement to support the sales culture and provide senior sales expertise in obtaining and maintaining major and/or complex client accounts
  • Support through client retention, new prospect identification and client acquisition
  • Responsible for delivering the best possible client experience both internally and externally
  • Assist Client Managers in development of annual production goals and marketing plans
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of acquisition criteria for various Commercial Term Lending financing programs
  • Ensure strong working relationship with credit partners and assist Client Managers with loan structure

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • At least 15 years sales/origination experience, and at least 5 years of management experience, in one or more of the product types, e.g., multifamily, construction lending, permanent lending through Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac, low income housing, tax credit investment funds
  • Preference for candidate who has been through a full real estate cycle
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Finance, Business or similar background preferred
  • Strong analytic skills in sales and management
  • Working knowledge of and connections within the Commercial Real Estate industry
  • Excellent time management, verbal and written communication skills
