To help us achieve our goal, we are seeking a Director, Learning & Development with a concentration on Diversity Equity Inclusion and Belonging. This role will drive diversity, inclusion, learning, and culture objectives for department projects and program management with a focus on execution and implementation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • This role will drive learning & development, diversity, inclusion, and culture objectives for department projects and program management with a focus on execution and implementation.

  • The Manager will partner with various internal and external stakeholders to enable implementation of the organization’s continuous development, DEI and affirmative action programs and initiatives.

  • The manager will have the opportunity to collaborate to drive diversity recruitment efforts, diversity awareness programs, and help foster an environment of inclusion by creating employee resource groups

  • The incumbent in this role will have to be an influencer and creative thinker to motivate and inspire key partners as stakeholder management is an essential component of this role

  • The Manager will focus on and be measured against the successful execution of the organization’s Diversity and Inclusion strategy supporting the ongoing development and execution of a D&I strategic roadmap.

  • Lead the initiatives that will drive an inclusive and conscious environment at DocGo

  • Lead the cultivation, governance and management of DocGo’s Employee Network Groups - Specifically working to enhance their alignment to our business and employee needs

  • Effectively partner with Marketing and key stakeholders to effectively communicate our commitment to DEI both internally and externally.

  • Drive DocGo’s connection to organizations that are like-minded in their aspirations to positively impact the communities in which our employees and consumers live and work

  • Partner within Human Resources to integrate Diversity and Inclusions into HR practices and processes:

    • Talent Acquisition/Talent Management on development and integration of D&I and Bias Mitigation into key Talent processes and programs, including recommendations for external partnerships to continue to attract and retain diverse talent.

    • Partner with market leaders and hiring managers to ensure our annual DEI strategic objectives are met as well as the needs of our partners and clients.

    • Launch Education and Regional Training initiatives in collaboration with the Learning & Development team focused on professional development strategy and Diversity & Inclusion learning.

    • Concentrate on Total Rewards/Employee Relations on the awareness and understanding of key issues regarding equity and inclusion as it relates to compensation and benefits programs, employee policies and communications, months of observance, paid time off, etc.

  • Responsible for fulfilling reporting requirements to senior management and conducting data analysis that guides our actions and strategic priorities.

  • Support the business case for diversity and inclusion by leveraging external benchmarking, best practices, employee feedback and research.

  • Provide guidance e and support for the creation of business unit-specific diversity and inclusion plans.

  • Work with key partners to advance DocGo’s External D&I reputation.

  • Support DEI Communications, support development and review of DEI related social media content.

  • Develop strategies for Philanthropic/social impact initiatives (partnership with sustainability and PR, etc.) to advance our DEI reputation.

  • Identify initiatives to advance DEI reputation through pledges, partnerships, ratings and rankings in partnership with key executives, partners, vendors, division leaders and external organizations.

  • Develops and maintains organizational communications such as internal bulletin boards communication channels, and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.

  • Drive the design, development, and implementation of new onboarding initiative across the organization.

  • Obtains and /or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.

  • Trains and coaches managers, supervisors, and others involved in employee development efforts.

  •  Plans, organizes, facilitates and orders supplies for employee development and training events.

  • Drive self-service engagement initiatives and support any facilitated learning opportunities when necessary.

  • Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization
    • Apply knowledge of policy and current regulatory environment to ensure key issues are addressed within framework of Diversity and Inclusion strategy helping to build DocGo’s reputation by identifying strategic external partnerships in alignment with sustainability, talent attraction, company branding, procurement, advertising and marketing.


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required

  • 5+ years of experience in DEI programming, employee development, and culture communications

  • 3+ years related experience

  • Strong project management and execution skills

  • Must be extremely efficient, resourceful, adaptable team player, and detail-oriented

  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment with diverse people

  • Able to interact effectively with employees and management at all levels

  • Ability to influence without authority

  • Experience coordinating events, schedules, budgets, and managing logistics related to DEI and development initiatives

  • Strong presentation, analytical, verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience building partnerships with external networks and internal influencers

  • Ability to handle confidential information and materials with discretion

  • Advanced Microsoft Office and project management tools (e.g., Asana, SharePoint, Whiteboard, etc.)

  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new and changing technologies and processes

  • Strong assessment, interpersonal negotiating, decision-making, facilitation, and collaboration skills

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • The position will occasionally be expected to be available outside of standard business hours to support job function via phone, email, meetings, or even at an event.

  • The position will involve overnight travel from time to time.
