Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement scheduling strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. 

  • Collaborate with senior management to understand business priorities and translate them into actionable scheduling plans. 

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovative scheduling solutions. 

  • Balance workload and resource distribution to optimize utilization and productivity. 

  • Monitor and adjust scheduling decisions based on changing priorities, deadlines, and constraints. 

  • Implement and maintain scheduling software and tools to streamline and automate scheduling processes. 

  • Ensure the scheduling systems are up-to-date and aligned with organizational needs. 

  • Collaborate with different departments and teams to gather scheduling requirements and preferences. 

  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders to resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure alignment. 

  • Provide clear and timely scheduling updates to relevant parties. 

  • Analyze historical data, trends, and future demands to forecast resource needs and potential scheduling challenges. 

  • Develop metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure scheduling efficiency and effectiveness. 

  • Make data-driven decisions to optimize scheduling processes. 

  • Identify potential scheduling conflicts, bottlenecks, and risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies. 

  • Anticipate and manage potential disruptions to the schedule, such as resource unavailability or external factors. 

  • Lead a team of scheduling professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance management. 

  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement. 

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure their scheduling needs and expectations are met. 

  • Handle escalated scheduling issues and prioritize solutions to maintain stakeholder satisfaction. 

  • Prepare and present regular reports on scheduling performance, challenges, and improvements to executive leadership. 

  • Maintain accurate documentation of scheduling processes, decisions, and changes. 

Requirements: 

  • Significant experience in scheduling, operations management, or related roles, with a track record of progressively increasing responsibilities. 

  • Strong understanding of scheduling principles, techniques, and best practices. 

  • Experience with scheduling software and tools 

  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team, including mentoring, performance management, and fostering a collaborative work environment. 

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders, present findings, and resolve conflicts. 

  • Effective negotiation and diplomacy skills to manage competing priorities and stakeholder expectations. 

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred
