Overview

This is aDepartment Promotional Examination and is open only to current eligible employees of the Kern County Employees Retirement Association (KCERA) who have successfully completed their initial probationary period and received an overall rating of standard or better on the last employee performance report. 
Examinations:
Examination components for promotional testing will be administered during the scheduled date/time/location without exception. 

Appraisal (Weight 100%): Will be conducted for the purpose of appraising the applicant's training, education, experience, interest and personal fitness for the position. Appraisal can be based on any of the following: investigation, oral examination and/or review of application.

Applicants must attain at least a 70% score on each phase of the examination process.

Minimum Qualifications / Employment Standards:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in retirement benefit administrationhuman resources, payroll or a closely related field.

OR

One (1) year of experience as a KCERA Senior Member Services Analyst.

OR

Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
