This position is embedded in Mental Health providing enhanced care management to clients who struggle with a severe mental illness, a substance use disorder or both.  Primary duties are engagement with clients to help them meet self- identified goals providing needed support to address issues that would increase the individual’s overall health and independence.  This position is community and field-based meeting, assisting and supporting individuals where they are at or at places where the individual is receiving services.

The eligibility list from this recruitment may be used to fill current and future full-time, part-time, limited-term, and extra help vacancies for up to twelve months.  Currently, there are two (2) immediate full-time vacancies.  

Position Requirements

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills, and abilities would be:None required. Personal experience and access/advocacy with community health services is highly desired.

Education:  High School diploma or equivalent (GED).

License or Certificate*:  Possession of a valid California Driver's License.

*Any license, certification, or registration required for this position shall be maintained (i.e. active and in good standing) at all times during employment with Napa County.  For continued employment with Napa County, you must maintain such license, certification, or registration to meet the minimum qualifications of this position.

This means that when Napa County experiences emergencies (earthquake, wildfire, power outage, etc.) you may be asked to pivot from your regular duties to provide critical services to those affected by the emergency (CA Govt Code § 3102).
