We have a challenging opportunity for a – Vault Manager – Vault Services based out of our Los Angeles facility.

Job Summary:

The Vault Manager is responsible for the overall functioning of the Precious Metals operation in the SoCal area, management of the vault team, customer service and retention, developing business opportunities, employee training and development, safety programs and promotion of all corporate goals and objectives.

This position will work with the West Coast General Manager and the Director of Commodities to ensure that all divisions and local customers are appropriately serviced.

This position functions in an armed environment and requires the enforcement of rules to protect the premises and property of Brink's and its customers, as well as the safety of all on the premises of Brink's.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Vault team.
  • Lead team to quickly adapt to change during times of transition, including marketplace shifts/product launches, and effectively uses all partnerships/resources to ensure the receiving, dispatching, organization and inventory management process and by extension all security processes, are never compromised.
  • Manage key performance indicators, including labor, quality, adherence to standard operating procedures and other business measurements
  • Identifies ways to improve management of costs, continually improve margins to positively impact business results
  • Develop and execute plans to meet predetermined financial projections and goals, aligned with sales leadership to successfully execute the strategies as agreed
  • Ensure that the market is the most efficient, quality-oriented, highest value provider of like services in the market by establishing and maintaining excellent customer relationships
  • Proactively reduce risk exposure and ensure implementation of measures to reduce worker’s compensation injury costs and security losses within the market
  • Establish and maintain accountability on all levels of the market; maintain positive Employee Relations and work environment
  • Continuously manage regular audit and cycle count activities in compliance with company policies
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key customers

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years supervising or managing a group of logistics professionals engaged in secured logistics activities including but not limited to inventory management, inflow and outflow of sensitive and highly valuable items.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in logistics in a high touch customer facing role and/or a role processing shipments through a logistics life cycle or Transferrable Brinks or Brinks Global Service experience in a role that would serve as the foundation for this position.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • A valid firearms permit or ability to pass applicable firearms licensing requirements
  • A valid guard card or ability to obtain a guard card or any other required licenses
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in precious metals storage, freight forwarding/transportation or related field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in precious metals trading is advantageous or working in an environment where high value liability is managed/stored.
  • Working knowledge of Lean/Process Improvement methodologies

Salary Range: $90,000 - $95,000 per year
