As a machine learning researcher on the Apple Vision Pro team, you will perform cutting-edge artificial intelligence research that will shape the future of spatial computing. Our mission is to fuse vision, language, and other multidimensional sensor streams into a rich understanding of human interactions with the physical, social, and virtual worlds. Ever evolving, our current focus is on combining the strengths of large-scale self-supervised learning with data- and power-efficient methods for on-device learning to enable the Apple Vision Pro to adapt to the user and enable effortless, natural multimodal experiences. We are looking for a candidate who is committed to publishing their work in top-tier AI conferences and is recognized as a thought leader in the field. You will be part of a community of interdisciplinary researchers who are passionate about pushing the boundaries of what is possible with AI. Key Qualifications

  • In-depth expertise in machine learning research
  • Domain expertise in one or more of computer vision, audio, NLP, multimodal fusion, and computer graphics.
  • Strong mathematical background in linear algebra and statistics.
  • Publication record in relevant venues (e.g. NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ACL, AAAI, SIGGRAPH).
  • Proficient in Python and C/C++; CUDA or other GPGPU is a plus.
  • Expertise with at least one deep learning framework, for example PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Jax
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate in a diverse environment
  • Interdisciplinary background working with experts in behavioral sciences, such as neuroscience, psychology, linguistics, behavioral economics, or cognitive science is a plus.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700 and $300,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
